After the August 2024 Flood
On the night of August 18, 2024, a storm dropped almost 10 inches of rain on parts of Suffolk County. In Stony Brook, Mill Pond overflowed and part of Harbor Road collapsed. Here in East Setauket, one family's basement filled with about 9 feet of water and had to be gutted.
